Kukishin Ryu Sanshaku Bojutsu
Kukishin Ryu Sanshaku Bojutsu (Hanbo), written and demonstrated by Richard Maloof, was originally conceived
as a training guide for his personal students but after encouragement and requests from Bujinkan friends all
over the world, he decided to release it into the wild.
This English manual contains Kukishin Ryu Sanshaku Bojutsu techniques as handed down from Ishitani Matsutaro to Takamatsu Toshitsugu, through Hatsumi Masaaki to his students at the Bujinkan Dojo. All of the basic kamae (postures), kihon waza (basic techniques), Shoden Gata (Beginning Instruction Patterns), Chuden Gata (Middle Instruction Patterns), and Okuden Gata (Inside Instruction Patterns) are contained in this book. Additionally, a short history of Kukishin ryu Sanshaku Bojutsu, suggested training methods, and parting thoughts from the author, have been included.
These techniques were transmitted to the author, Richard Maloof, while living in Japan for over eight years, training in the Bujinkan primarily under Oguri Junichi, as well as Someya Kenichi, Seno Hideo, and of course, the head of the Bujinkan Dojo, Hatsumi Massaki. This softcover book is 98 pgs in length with highly detailed photos. Copyright 2021. All rights reserved.
