Ninpo: Wisdom for Life (Limited Edition hardcover)

Ninpo Limited Edition Hardcover

To celebrate the success of Ninpo: Wisdom for Life we were asked to produce a limited edition hardcover. Late in 2002, three years after the books worldwide release, we printed twenty-one hardcover books. Because we were preparing to move, we only brought a selection to the 2003 New Jersy Tai Kai. After that awesome Tai Kai, my wife and I returned home to packing, boxing and moving our belonging to a new apartment. A short while ago, we opened an unmarked storage box and found a small amount of the Ninpo hardcover books!

The books are excellent condition as each was individually packed in bubble wrap and placed in a clear protector bag.

Shadow Warrior (Softcover)

The Shadow Warrior by Darryl Caldwell

Shadow Warrior, by former Black Belt magazine columnist Darryl Caldwell, sheds light on the real ninja art and culture as seen from the eyes of one of its early American practitioners. It highlights the author's tutelage in Togakure ryu ninjutsu. Surviving the bruises, flashing blades, and dizzying shifts in mental outlook, Caldwell emerged as one of the first black belt teachers outside of Japan. His book takes the reader on a wild ride into the modern day ninja dojo.

Darryl Caldwell lived as a renaissance man. His love for the martial arts started early. His warrior pilgrimage led him to the world of Ninja martial arts, as taught by Stephen Hayes and Masaaki Hatsumi. During the 1980s, while writing the popular Shadow Warrior column, he traveled North America teaching Ninjutsu seminars. His life, training, and writing are widely regarded as inspiring and thought-provoking. Darryl passed away in 2016.

Shinto Muso Ryu Jojutsu

Shinto Muso Ryu Jojutsu by Fujita Seiko

Shinto Muso Ryu style of Jojutsu was founded after Muso Gonnosuke Katsuyoshi lost a duel to Miyamoto Musashi. After his loss, Katsuyoshi withdrew into seclusion, practicing swordsmanship and performing purification rituals in an effort to perfect his technique. Thus was born his style of Jojutsu

The author, Seiko Fujita (1898-1966) was a Japanese martial artist and military instructor who many consider to be the last Koga Ninjutsu master. During the Wolrd War 2 he taught special training in the Army Academy of Nakano. He authored more than fourteen books.

Shinto Muso Ryu Jojutsu Zukai was first printed in Japan circa 1953. Worn copies of that edition sell for about $400. This softcover edition includes both English and Japanese text. This edition includes the Introduction (by Fujita), Jo no Kamae Ho (postures), Kihon Juni Te (fundamentals), Ouyou Rokute (applications), Shiai Kata (dueling drills), End notes, About Fujita Seiko (short biography), Glossary (with kanji, romaji and brief explanation) and Bibliography. 150 pgs in length with over 300 detailed illustrations.
