TOPIC: KIHON.com and the Bujinkan New York Dojo celebrate instructor Joe Maurantonio's (Shidoshi) 20th anniversary as a Bujinkan member! The training will center around unarmed combat methods (taijutsu) and sword methods (kenjutsu).
REQUIREMENTS: Anyone wishing to participate must adhere to these qualities: be patient, show restraint, be open to new learning, and have a sincere heart.
INSTRUCTOR: Joe Maurantonio (Shidoshi) has been training in the martial arts for almost 25 years and is a senior USA Bujinkan practitioner. A New Yorker by birth, he founded the Bujinkan New York Dojo in 1987, was awarded his warrior-teacher license in 1991 and opened the Bronxville location in December 1992. Maurantonio Sensei has edited and released Hatsumi Sensei's book: Ninpo: Wisdom for Life (which will be on sale at the seminar). He is also known for his role as Assistant Editor of Sanmyaku: USA (Hatsumi sensei's densho for Bujinkan practitioners) and Publisher of the 4 year old KIHON Newsletter. |

[25 minutes north of Manhatten; 15 minutes south of White Plains]
BRING: If possible, bring a wooden long sword (extra's are available for loan). A notebook, pen and towel are also suggested. No electronic recording devices are permitted. If you own a martial arts uniform please wear it; otherwise wear loose-fit clothing.
TIME: Saturday 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
(The dojo opens at 6:30 pm for those who wish to change or stretch.)
COST: $15 for participants [Please, CASH only]... (No experience required!)
